Policies for PeopleFirstLean events (Workshops, Training events, etc.)

• I request pre-payment for registrations. You may pay by check or online with a Credit Card. When you notify me that you wish to register, I will send you an invoice based on your payment preference. I use the a third-party secure payment system (”Stripe” as of 2025) to receive online credit card payments and do not have access to your credit card information.
• You may cancel your registration if you notify me by the end of the day on the registration deadline via email, text, or phone. I will refund your entire registration fee via the method of payment you used to register.
• If I must cancel an event for any reason, paid registrations will receive a full refund.
• I reserve the right to cancel events that do not have enough registrations by the registration deadline. If I cancel an event due to low registration, I will notify you promptly using the contact information you have provided, and refund your entire registration fee via the method of payment you used to register.
• I request that attenders plan to arrive 10-15 minutes ahead of the scheduled start time so we can begin events on time. I generally plan to begin events at the announced start time.
• I request that attenders silence phones during sessions. If you must take a call, please walk out of the room before speaking. I request that you only receive calls that are genuine emergencies.
• Please contact me after an event if either of the following is true. I am open to consider refunds in these situations:
  • If you were unable to attend due to a transportation problem, a health issue, or a crises in your family or business.
  • If after attending you feel that you did not receive good value.
• (This policy applies to the January 2026 training events in Shipshewana, IN) My Lean 2-Day Workshop (2DW) is a good way for leaders/owners to get an understanding of the Lean culture and get to know me. If up to 2 leaders come to my 2DW and within six months schedule a private 1-Day Workshop for their team, I will deduct the amount they paid for 2DW from the regular private 1DW fee of $3,000. • Deposit to secure date for a Private Workshop, Training Event, or other Coaching Event. I may require a deposit in order to reserve a date on my calendar for private workshops or other training/coaching events. A deposit will apply towards the fee for the event. If I cancel the date or fail to make it due to reasons on my end, I will promptly return the entire deposit. If you cancel, the deposit is not refundable. If either of us needs to reschedule, we are free to mutually agree on a new date and the deposit remains intact and will apply towards the fee for the event.
